TOKEN

Token brings together five artists who use mark making as the core of their creative process: Benjamin Coombs (Australia), Adrian Landon Brooks (USA), Jake Plissken (USA), James Bourbon (Australia), and Marius Seidlitz (Germany). Each artist uses simple gestures, lines, shape, and iconography to build their own visual language.

Together, their works show how symbolism and mark making can be both personal and universal. Coombs and Bourbon explore rhythm through layered abstractions, while Brooks and Plissken channel folk-influenced symbolism and outsider-art into their pieces. Seidlitz adds a European balance of gentle form and structure. Seen side by side, the exhibition highlights how symbolism and mark making can communicate identity, emotion, and the unique voice of each artist.
